CANDLE CARE
When it comes to getting the best burn and longevity out of your candle, following the tips below are a must.
The First Burn is The Most Important
Every time you light your candle, let the candle burn until the melt pool has reached the edges of the container, especially CRUCIAL for the first burn, this will prevent tunneling.
Believe it or not, jar candles have a kind of "wax memory", and once a burning pattern has been established, it can be hard to change.
All About the Wick
Before each burn, trim the wick to a ¼" using a wick trimmer for a safe, even burn, and increased candle life.
Before each burn remove wick debris to avoid an intense flame, excess smoke and soot.

If the wick is getting drowned out by the wax, then it has been cut too short. But can be fixed! Extinguish the candle and use a paper towel to wipe away/soak up the top portion of the wax. Continue to do this until there is 3/16" of wick above the wax. Relight and let burn until the correct burn pool has been established.
Safety Check
-
Don’t burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
-
Never leave a lit candle unattended.
-
Protect the surface below your candle from heat by placing your candle on a coaster or other heat-safe vessel. You can even use the bamboo lid our candles come with!
-
Do not burn your candle if there is less than ½ inch of wax remaining in the glass as this can overheat the jar.
-
Protect the candle from drafts and do not handle while the candle is burning.
